Dr Karl says we have one billion years at most. That is a lot of rice I have to put away.

Lets have a lookie at these things. 1/Climate change: differing views on this, by scientists on both sides, both agree, the cost of adjusting to climate change is cheaper than combatting it. While looking at new technologies to replace what is there already. Just get out of their way and or help them out and we can find better ways of doing things quite quickly, unless you use the brainwashed indoctrinated lefties that is. 2/Forget Russia, I would be watching Islamic states who have already said, as soon as they get the bomb, they intend to use it against the big satan and little satan (western countries and Israel). isis has already stated they have bomb material in Europe already and plan on using it shortly (yet to be seen if it is true or just bignoting themselves). 3/We just missed being wacked last week, twice in fact. Missed us by mere degrees of rotation. This is more likely to happen out of all the scenarios so far. 4/This one worries me only a little, if it can't be bumped, and hits us, we are screwed no matter where you are on earth. Anyone got a spare star destroyer? 5/This is the most likely: it covers any and all total breakdown of society as we know it, and shows that people will revert to animalistic actions. fires, floods, civil rioting (think occupy but nastier than it already was, rapes, murders, thefts, all unreported so as to not distract from the occupying).
But I must put in, my biggest fear is a low level war started by sleeper jihadist cells, importing through diplomatic immunity to embassy's chemical, biological or nuclear weaponry and setting it off in populated areas in western countries in so called "lone wolf" attacks. then Islamic countries joining isis type groups and blockading shipping lanes, sues canal, south china sea, etc, thus cutting off global trade, making countries more isolated, thus damaging global economics.
Remembering that up to 60% of muslims agree with the overall goals of isis, which gives us an potential enemy force of over 800 million people, doing all levels of attacks, either by supporting them behind the scenes, hiding jihadists, covering for them in the media (got nothing to do with islam, what they did goes against islam [without quoting Islamic texts], we believe in peace [Islamic peace means, when everyone is of the same sect of islam, until then its a house or war {dar al haram}]) or doing single or multiple person attacks.
Anyhow, that's my thoughts on that subject.

How is a person who is fed information on a never needs to know basis, ever going to know what is really happening. The less than trustworthy media move on from one topic to the next and we are left to search out information after their short attention span has move to the next world crisis.

The media seem to be running these types of articles a lot. Is it subliminal stuff going on?

That's the kicker isn't it, those who are a bit sceptical will survive, because they searched out information, those who blindly go by what the gubmit says will perish.
Jesus Christ use to talk to the general public in parables for this very reason. He then talked about the 5 wise and 5 foolish virgins for that reason to.

- 1 in 8 chance of CME by 2020. Chances are that it wouldn't do much, but it might do enough. - Gigantic debts of governments throughout the world. - Continued crazies in the middle east - History has shown that famine and pestilence can happen and on a large scale. Highly unlikely, though possible.
