Hi folks
Just wondering where you guys source your mylar? I bought some recently on eBay, as I couldn't seem to find any local suppliers. The prices were quite exorbitant once you include shipping.
Anyone got some good sources?

And while we're at it, knowing a local supplier of oxygen absorbers would be good too...

anyone tried getting them on taobao? Most people probably not heard of Taobao. It can be a pain in the backside to communicate with the sellers if you don't undrestand Chinese too. The English-language equivalent AliExpress is usually a bit cheaper than eBay and Amazon, especially if you can get a supplier who does free delivery. Make sure you look out for the usual things - lots of orders, good feedback, maybe feedback from Aussie buyers etc to make sure you get good quality stuff For an example: www.aliexpress.com/item/3-9-x7-5-10x19cm-Mylar-Stand-Up-Aluminum-Foil-Clear-Packaging-Packing-Bag-for-Food/1723379477.htmlUS$10 for 50pcs 10 x 19cm bags Free shipping if you use China Post Registered Air Mail (be prepared to wait up to 2 months for the package though)

Can mylar be reused or is it a once off thing, I have never used it, but as all you have to do is heat it to seal it after you open it can you just heat and seal again.

How many would be interested if I could source them with O2 absorbers? Thinking 1 gallon size? and you just cut them to size to suit

What sort of quantities are we looking at each? 100? 200? Just gives me an idea when asking for quotes, as some supplier require 2000min purchase. But so far price is looking pretty good for 5 gallon bags..hopefully under $1ea depending on quantities and shipping costs

Yep, count me in. I'm more likely to go with 2L at a time, but that's easily sorted with 1 gallon bags with 2x O2 absorbers for each.

I would be interested in getting a price on 20litre Mylar bags for placement in 20lt food grade tubs for bulk storage as well as the oxygen absorbers if you could organize delivery.
It would be good to compare the price on the 2ltr ones as well with absorbers too.
