What? Prepping is going mainstream?
Wow - common sense from the media. I'm in shock.

It’s a good start. The more everyday people are prepared, the quicker we can all recover from disruptive events. If we are not prepared we are waiting in line with our hand out while there is real work to be done.
I’ll only trust the ABC on these issues when they stop calling a .22 and a couple of bricks of ammo a “weapons stockpile with thousands of rounds”

The ABC has a channel for their emergency related stuff (warnings etc): www.abc.net.au/news/emergencyI'm willing to bet most people have never heard of or visited it though, unless maybe for bushfire / cyclone alerts.

It is a real issue as I will be involved in the response should/when it occurs at a regional IMT level and we know there is not enough preparation in the community

I've seen prepping many times by the leftist climate change mob. Interesting to see this from the left. Generally the left is in favour of greater government control, but on this issue even they can see that the government is not acting in the public's interests and at some stage they will have to fend for themselves and pick up the pieces.

Mrs Frostbite and I have been watching the mini series Years & Years on SBS. It is about a fictional family in England, commencing present day and progessing several years each episode. The show attempts to portray a realistic future, and is well done in my opinion. It shows how climate change, mass movement of people, a declining world econo y, power shortages, technology and government intrusion in your daily life may well look like in the near future.
Best part for me is it seems to be making Mrs Frostbite embrace prepping to a greater degree.

Don't watch TV at all except for ABC Kids with the little ones, so I dialled in SBS on demand via the phone and caught the trailer. Looks pretty good, except I found the mandatory inclusion of token Gays a bit in your face! Any real relevance to the story or just leftard TV producers pushing their standard crap? Also is "Viv" supposed to be a female version of Trump?

I don't know if it is a token, probably just reflective of the prevalence of same sex relationships in society. I suspect Viv is a puppet of big business. She mentions in E5 that 'they' will kill her if she doesn't follow the program.

I'm pretty sure ALL tv 'content' is psyops (Its actually not even called 'entertainment' anymore!) The majority of 'content' out there is designed to influence people to do particular things and assume/think particular things.
I want to know when cooking and repairing/building houses became such pervasive 'entertainment'. Or watching other people go fishing/camping/4wd-ing (always with the latest and best gear). Or watching Police and border security do their jobs. Or watching a group of strangers get mashed together to argue about sh!t, scheme and get voted on. This crap is literally depressing. An actual reason why so many people suffer from anxiety and depression: constantly being reminded you should eat lavishly, travel more, renovate more, (all by spending more) and that life is full of scheming R-soles out to undermine you and get on top of you and that you better not step out of line lest you be arrested/fined for any infraction at any time.
Joseph Stalin and Lavrentiy Beria couldn't come up with 'mind control' this effective.
Of course ... we are now coming up to christmas so be sure to watch out for all the great 'content' designed to make you think you're missing something if you don't have the biggest, flashiest christmas dinner ever with at least 40 participants and haven't spent $48 000 on extravagant gifts/renovations/holidays.

Yeah, and all those young, slim, beautiful skimpy bikini clad ladies on Bondi Rescue are an evil ploy to make me think Mrs Frostbite needs upgrading My mind is much stronger than that of the leftards running psychops against me.
