Just heard from my workmates brother who is posted in Iraq atm, he said the insurgents are launching Chinese supplied rockets at the bases over there, but they are so dodgy that they are having to use cigarettes as fuses and then running away because once they launch, they fly all over the place instead of in a straight path and a few have gone all over the place and blown back up on insurgents lol

"The Chinese army is full of wimps, sissies and little emperors".
Video is just a little bit biased, but makes a fair point. India has been undertaking active combat in Kashmir for decades and is very used to fighting in Himalayan terrain, whereas the CCP busses in conscripts from the eastern cities.

"The Chinese army is full of wimps, sissies and little emperors". And the Japs were squinty eyed, buck-toothed and couldn't see in the dark. That didn't work out well for us.

Best to stay out of CCP territory. Is your career really worth risking your freedom and your life for? Career is almost finished and hasn't really been a reason for being here anyway. Wife is Chinese, and while we have been spending more and more time in Aus every year since the kids were born, her family issues have also been mounting, and basically require her to be in-country to deal with each time. Have been engaged in winding everything down, divesting assets etc for the past several months. Now in the process of applying for wife's re-entry visa and then our family entry permit (big backlogs for both of those), then can try to find air tickets. One of my mates was able to get back to Aus before the strict entry requirements came in. It took his wife and daughter (who didn't have the visa issues we're having) almost four months to get back to Sydney though. They've had all sorts of issues shipping their household goods back, getting their money out etc too. Long story short, aim to be back in Aus by year's end. Hopefully nothing major kicks off before then.

It's not because I'm of Asian descent. I don't want Pax Americana to end, and I don't want a new Pax Sinica, but the worst thing I can see for this kind of scenario is to treat the other side as idiots. I see this a lot on social media platforms, where Americans think their technological superiority at war is unsurpassed. The fastest way to lose your edge/advantage is to assume you're the best and the other side are bumbling fools.

The CCP are not bumbling fools. They have outplayed the west and most of asia over the last few decades. Those guys could be crying because party official 8757000 has died and you need to cry...or we will give you a reason to cry later on.

Love that newsbar. "China doesn't seek expansion. Has territorial disputes with 18 countries."

Back then they were barely trained in warfare and still scraped through, nowdays they would have to send commando or sf units because the regular army are wusses who cant fight,

They say it's an historical fact that Australia was the first nation to defeat all the Main Axis Powers in major land battles!
from memory they were:-
Italians at Bardia
Germans at Tobruk
Japanese at Milne Bay

Having personally observed Chinese conscripts living and operating in these areas over an extended period of time I can tell you they are seriously outclassed by the Indian troops stationed there.
