Could really care less if google bails, there are plenty of other sites easily and readily available for use by Australians.
That said, what are the changes the government wants to make that is causing google to possibly take this action?

Awesome! Does it mean then that the prikks will stop monitoring private conversations via your inert mobile? I get sick of having to leave it down the far end of the house while I'm talking to my mates or family up the other side only to have it ring! Then what about ASIO and all the other Government retards like don't they rely on Google to feed them intel or can they just pick through it themselves?

Only says Aus must be passing some sort of legislation they do not like. DD

The govt is going to force google to pay for the news content they have been stealing for years. Google doesn't want to pay that, or taxes either.

The Singapore government would be the big loser here, since that's where Google declares its Australian revenue for tax purposes.
Fark off google you stalking, decietful parasite.

this clearly shows how much the msm is in the governments back pocket. I detest google about as much as i detest newscorp and all the other propaganda news media. I hope google does pull out like they did with china. Problem with this is what is to stop other search engines like duck duck go doing the same thing?

MSM is the propaganda arm of the Government they are all on the same side, the big end of town, they both generate their money by manipulating and milking the average bloke on the street! Make no mistake when MSM are forced to pick a side they will always go with the Government of the day. Journalists, Senior Public Servants and Politicians live together, drink together, sleep together, party together and rather disgustingly marry and breed children together!

I couldn't care less if it goes the way of the dodo, there's plenty of other systems that can be used. But it makes me wonder about all the phones/linked set ups that require a google account to use. Going to be an interesting cut over period!

YEP! Published today! Just totally sums up the Global Media / Political F***fest! It's worth making the point that the MSM opposed the non-establishment candidates on both sides. They hate Trump, that's no secret. They also hate Bernie Sandars, who was winning the primaries up until super-Tuesday, where the establishment Dems ganged up on him The public fell for it, and now here we are.

While DuckDuckGo says they don't log and store your search results, the searched word shows up in the address bar which is logged by your ISP which is stored for at least 2 years (probably for ever) and can be requested by government departments (probably all of them all the time ).
There's nowhere to hide on the internet.
