Mainstream media have really been shown for what a crock they are over the past 2 years. They've gone really pro-government (regardless of who is in power in each state). Every time either someone I know, or myself have been involved in an event that got media coverage, the overwhelming comment is "that's not what happened!" Maybe it's a significant shift, or maybe they are just getting caught out blatantly lying now due to the easier flow of information.
Another possibility, is that when print media started to lose ground to online media, they had to cut costs and fire many reporters. There were countless statements about 'press releases' going straight into news articles, with no real checking. This has definitely been the case with coverage of corona. The government narrative has gotten blanket coverage, with any counterpoints from others quickly dismissed. One wonders how many other issues this has/is been happening with.

Water broke over the banks of the Richmond river at Casino late last night. Flooded CBD in Casino to knee deep. Lots of damage and big cleanup. Just seen a large landslide on the range, so no going to or from town for a few days. Some shops managed to get sandbags in in time, but most not. Salvation army shrift shop and food pantry destroyed. Gun shop flooded to knee deep. Aldies out of action, Wollies and Coles apparently open. Most petrol stations in town closed with water in tanks. This is what prepping is all about people. The colder the x-ray table, the more of your body needs to be in contact with it. Things picking up in Northern NSW...how you doing Malewithatail? You safe?

We are all ok, some things to consider following. Suns out, saw 110 amps at 56 volts going into our batteries. Have heard from several beekeepers who have lost everything, all washed away. Houses too. A tip....during a disaster, u cant have too much intel. Was tuned to local radio, but the local community web sites were best as people were posting things live as it happened. Was continually foward planning, what if situations for us,even though flood is a almost impossibility, a landslip isnt. Just taking the opportunity for topping up generator fuels and tidying up the shed. Checked ham gear as well, although the atmospheric noise was s9 ++ at times due to the storms, the local repeater (UHF CB) was always on air, as ive solar powered it, so it should survive almost anything.

We had nearly a meter, 1,000mm of rain in a week. Very soggy underfoot. A sight to brighten my day.....Saw a bee, probably one of mine, collecting some pollen from the grasses in the olive paddock. Her pollen baskets were almost full. God is so good, he even looks after the bees. Im definitely not mowing that paddock !!!!! Our sheep are very, very pregnant, so we are moving them out to feast on the new grass around the house where I mowed last week. The only animals that seemed to like the weather were the ducks and pigs.

Ran short of a few things, but could make do. Feed for the sheep and chock feed, but the feed mill is quite close, so went up yesterday and got more pig food as well. The Range is still blocked by a landslide, the alternate route is 30 km dirt road, 1 car wide in places. The RFS (Fire service) is sent a crew to town today to help with the clean up in Casino. Our captain has left the other 1/2 of us here in case something happens, along with the small truck and tank. My turn tomorrow, hope to stock up on ammo and medicines then.

10 mm rain overnight. Supposed to be more rain tomorrow. Another tip......Get your own people prepped, that way you can be in a position to help others without the worry of your own people being hurt. Again, with the state of the world and WW3 almost happening, if you are not at your bug out location, go NOW. Im now wondering whether this rain event was staged or caused. It has moved down the coast and is affecting Sydney and further south. The radar shows it coming back up the coast, unheard of as the prevailing winds are westerly. Surely these evil men arnt screwing with the weather ? We are in deep dog do if they are.

Must get time to build another gasifier plant to make wood gas for a spark ignition generator as the fuel situation gets worse. Look at alternatives to petroleum based heating products. Dont forget the 2 stroke oil for the chainsaw, its alright to have petrol, but most need oil as well. We have a couple of 240 volt electric chainsaws, a bit weak, but ok for kindling etc.

Nearly all the major weather in the location that I grew up in (Goulburn Valley) pretty much had the same weather traits as we are seeing now...when it is strong enough to come in from the east over the dividing range, we knew we were going to cop it. Check your radar if you are in Vic...our weather is blowing in from the east...its only light rain at the moment, will be interesting to see if it builds.

I wonder how all the Victorians who fled Andrews into Queensland are feeling about now.

Yep. The Qld restrictions are the same as the Vic ones now anyway, so that reason's gone. Brisbane house prices are ridiculous now, whereas Melbourne looks to be levelling off. We did consider moving to Brisbane, but abandoned the idea fairly quickly.

I’m just listening to premier Pair’o’tits say that peoples spirits are high. What a douche. There are still bodies trapped in roof spaces and whole towns ruined. he has no personal appeal at all.

There are still 400 people missing in Lismore area, probably trapped in the roof spaces. Even though I observed strict field sanitation, I still ended up with a stomach bug that laid me for 24 hrs. Just tired now, at least I can keep down a drink of water now. No doubt, there will be many people suffering gastric from the mud and water. So sad to see peoples lives staked up in soggy messes on the road verge. Where were the Polyfilths in all this ? When they finally turned up, 5 days later, the Army turned up at the same time. Funny that.
Love, peace and hair grease.

Wyrallah is closed off. I suspect i know why. Grim discoveries.
Mrs just got back from flood affected area and the polifilth are gloating about how good ADF etc are doing. go check out the back streets away from the cameras. Scumbags the lot.
The missing persons could also be people who are known as safe but not in contact with organising NGO’s However i agree, many could be stuck in their home roof spaces.

The ADF are not emergency services. They can be useful as a manpower resource, but that's it. They aren't the SES or CFA etc. Any politician relying on them is irresponsible.

So whats going on with SES and other Gov. agencies up there in NSW/QLD. Have all their members left because of Jab concerns or is something else going on? Anyone here involved?

If the jab policy isn't an issue now it will be in a few months when 50% or more lose their vaccinated status because they don't want to be jabbed every 3 months to keep it current.

I'm not sure if that's even gonna happen now...they threatened it here months ago and it's all fizzled out.
