I just listened to this particular podcast over the past week and I think it is vitally important for all those planning to bug out if SHTF. Jack talks about having universal documentation for your vehicles (including spouse's) and home, in case SHTF. He makes good points about having multiple locations and multiple routes mapped out, so you can talk your spouse or children through your plan to get to your location, and some rally points to meet up with each other along the way. I feel this is important particularly to me as my partner isn't the most enthusiastic about my plans so far, but if things go south, I can talk her through how we're getting where we're going and what she needs to load into the car step by step, with maps and illustrations or what she needs to do if she arrives there first. I have finished making my contact list of all family, friends and work peers, and am now planning three routes to my primary BOL in case of road closures, etc. If you have an hour and a half at any time this week I think this is a super important prep that doesn't cost anything more than some paper and ink and can help you reunite your family when you need them the most.

Mmmm, I feel ya. My partner is the same. This is definitely something I have to get onto. I still haven't even really found a suitable bug out location yet though. Something I really need to get on to.

While my better half has the gist of what we will do should the need arise, finer details i think should be clarified and discussed. My kids are a little to young to know to many details.
Great post and definitely food for thought.
