Had a new torch arrive this week, so here's a quick review if anyone is interested.
It is the P25 model from EDI-T Its a single LED producing about 1000 lumens. Already have the smaller P4 Headhunter and the larger Tri-x from EDI-T and have been quite happy with them so thought I would grab the model between them to try out.
Ordered the "Charger" pack which contains the torch itself, two 18650 batteries, charger, 12V charger, belt loop and hard case for the lot.
Also available is a "hunter" pack which has the above plus scope/barrel mount and pressure switch. Personally not a fan of the pressure switches, they work fine but I just find them annoying to have on the rifle when out hunting.
Haven't had the P25 out hunting as yet, but so far very impressed with the light out put. Much better then the smaller P4 and the push-pull focus allows a better hotspot and throw then the larger Tri-x. The tri-x lights up a massive area, but lacks focus, whereas the P25 can focus down to bright hot-spot with a decent amount of throw. Not sure on distance that you could shoot too using this, but +100m would be very easily done. Will have to take it out with the rifle and scope to work out distances it would light up.
Above are a couple of shots showing the beam, about 3m away from a blank, light blue coloured wall.
Overall I reckon they aren't bad torches, well built and with pretty good light output. Bit more expensive then some around (by no means the dearest either), but I think they are worth it.
Cheers
