Big brother is here Guys and Gals, nothing you can do about it if you intend to complete Nationally recognised courses. What is the USI ? A joint initiative between the Australian and State and Territory Governments Effective 1 January 2015 each student will need a Unique Student Identifier (USI) to obtain their certificate or qualification from their registered training organisation, when studying nationally recognised training in Australia. This includes studying at TAFE or with a private training organisation, completing an apprenticeship or skill set, certificate or diploma course. A USI gives you access to your online USI account which will help keep all your training records together. HOW TO GET A USI It's free and easy for you to create your own USI online Visit the USI website Have at least ONE form of ID ready from the list below Drivers licence Medicare card Australian passport Birth certificate Citizenship certificate Follow the steps to complete your USI application, It should only take a few minutes. Your USI will be displayed on your screen for you IMMEDIATELY and you will be sent a copy by email, SMS or via the post. Get your USI here! usi.gov.au/Pages/default.aspxIf you are unable to provide your USI when making a booking, there will be a delay in receiving your certificate. Information about USI - Unique Student Identifier - can be found here! usi.gov.au/About/Pages/default.aspx
