If Apollo 13 could be fixed with duct tape, I'm okay with it on non-essential plane parts...

That is okay in a situation wherein there was no recourse in space to repair the Apollo 13. This was a regular flight with a regular maintenance schedule which makes it scarier. I wouldn't want to fathom the other parts that are held together by duct tape.

That's always the concern. I just live in hope when I fly that the plane is in decent nick.

And Cebu Pacific is notorious for having technical problems with their planes resulting in delays and in some cases, crash landings.
