This “heatwave” thing probably correlates with: 1. Quickly rising obesity rates 2. Ageing population 3. The massive use of airconditioning.
I remember having a fun day in dreamworld 20 years ago when the temp was 44 degrees and a billion % humidity. A lot has changed in that short time and it’s not just climate.

I tend to agree with this I still don't have aircon in my car but my house is a freezer and most places you work have A\C now I will add though things are just darn hotter then it use to be I grew up in the tropics and very few people had A/C but we never seem to get the high temperatures like we get now for as long either

A lot has changed in that short time and it’s not just climate. i agree. no aircon, no heating. expand your range of comfort and then you wont be uncomfortable. aircon, heating, escalators and other mod cons all enable laziness
