Some bad storms there overnight...was watching it roll across last night on the radar. Lightning was the most prolific on the planet there for a few hours!
Adelaide Hills members might of copped a bit - hows it going SA Hunter?

My backyard is flooding, half the vegie garden is under several inches of water, tanks overflowing. We had 30mm yesterday and 29mm today. Our average for all of November is only 30mm. My sister accidentally emptied my main tank about 2 weeks ago when we also had a lot of rain, but now it's full again. About 80,000 homes are still without power and SA Power Networks is getting workers from Victoria to help get the power restored faster. I travelled through flooded Victoria recently. I'll start a new thread about my journey. Where is the best place to put it?

Here on lower Eyre Peninula lightning strikes on power network infrastructure have caused damaging surges which have harmed household appliances.
It tripped the switch in our meter box ... and luckily ... no electrical goods in the house were effected. Neighbours not so lucky. They had half their house blacked out for several days until an electrician came and fixed things up ... and they sufffered TV and computer damage.
Still lots of standing water around here. And oodles of mosquitos. Grain crops and hay suffered further damage in what has been a very testing start to harvest.

Last Saturday hit me with some of the strongest winds and dump of rain I have experienced in over 20 years here in the hills. I had a tree come down and bring my power line down. No power for 5 days certainly showed me some gaps in my preparations but over all I managed well I hope everyone else is also okay here in SA.
