Personal experience: pay the price and get a decent brand, eg. Honda. You will regret the savings made by buying a flimsy cheap one, especially when you need it after hours in a hurry.

Why do you want a generator?
If it's for an emergency, then buy quality.

That's pretty cool, basically an hour of juice per litre of fuel, not a bad rate for a quick emergency filler. I don't know if that's particularly efficient but for something so small compared to a standard generator, sounds like it's a pretty good idea for an emergency item.
