Peak oil, ah yes...Got to crack on with my gasifier.
If everything's going your way, just be sure you are not going the wrong way down a one way street.

'Peak oil' is absolute rubbish. There are still huge oil reserves that would be mined if the price and demand are there. Have a look at Alberta, North Dakota etc. Plenty of oil there, but needs sustained high prices to be economically viable. Same with the Timor Gap oil field.

Bring it on, the sooner it starts, the sooner its over and we preppers are not getting any younger.
There's a difference between preparing for it and wanting it. Why would you want it? I'm not sure it's a matter of "wanting it". I think it's more that thing where you are sure something bad is going to happen, and the wait is dragging on, and on, and on... and you want it to hurry up so you can shift from high cortisol levels to high adrenaline levels and just cope with it already.

^ Headline should of been: "Some irrelevant, random guy just declared WW3" It is mostly irrelevant. They are not the only ones that consider the current conflicts to be the beginning of WW3. The Catholic church does have extensive intelligence network throughout the world, and are acutely aware of poverty levels, unemployment and the changing attitudes of people and governments etc.. . With all that information it is not difficult to put together where the world is heading. For example the Catholic church is one of the largest employers in Australia ±220,000, other companies like Westfarmers only have 107,000 employees. .

The 'irrelevant guy' did make a point about other ongoing conflicts that no-one in the media tends to care about.

Anyone paying attention to the Netherlands farming fiasco - it is growing. There was a couple of attempts to de-escalate today (yesterday? timezones...) which were defeated.
- Motion to stop seizure of agrarian land from Dutch farmers - Rejected. - Motion to at all times respect the property rights of Dutch farmers - Rejected.
This has escalated the protests and now they have spread beyond the Netherlands to Italy, Poland and Germany. EU farmers can read the weather when big business comes for their land.

This is a strange move. Nitrogen fertilisers are what is driving the boom in green hydrogen. Ammonia is the biggest existing market for hydrogen and is what is allowing these hydrogen plants to start up. Hydrogen as a fuel is in its infancy and there's a limit into the percentage of hydrogen that you can inject into the gas reticulation system. Practically every green hydrogen plant is reliant on renewables and alter their production rates alongside the renewable energy production, so the non-scheduled nature of it doesn't matter.

Hydrogen is a very 'slippery' gas and will even seep through a glass container. And liquefied its really, really cold. However, someone could come up wit a process to make it from excess solar power. Electrolysis is not efficient enough.

Well, the "nitrogen from farming" is the pretext to take the land, because they want to use it themselves. They have that huge tristate city thing planned ( www.tristatecity.nl/ ) where they want one huge smart megacity covering swathes of Belgium, Netherlands and going into Germany. It is just a case of the mega-wealthy just taking whatever they want, where they want, and using governments and government agencies to do it.

Siri Lanka capital stormed by protestors - President escaped on a warship. Germany shutting down due to energy shortages. Australian construction companies going broke.. twitter.com/i/status/1545691255665217536"Social Peace Is In Great Danger": Germany Is Quietly Shutting Down As Energy Crunch Paralyzes Economy www.zerohedge.com/markets/social-peace-great-danger-germany-quietly-shutting-down-energy-crunch-paralyzes-economyCosts could increase even more as a result of a new law working its way through the German parliament. This would allow the government to impose an emergency levy on all gas consumers to spread the cost of higher prices more evenly. It is designed to prevent gas importers becoming insolvent, a scenario ministers fear could cause a Lehman Brothers-style meltdown of the whole sector. Uniper, the largest importer of Russian gas in Germany, is already in talks with officials on a state bailout that experts say could be as large as €9bn.

Haven't got much time for these developers who are going broke. They are the ones who have been lobbying to keep the population ponzi scheme going so they can keep selling mcmansions. Making life worse for the rest of us so that they can make money. Destroy our best farmland. Clearfell bushland. All to build houses of such low quality that in 20-30yrs time they will not be able to be renovated and are effectively disposable.

Things have stopped moving slowly - It is a rapid decline into chaos...Coming to a city near you... China bank run fears intensify as violent clashes break out this weekendConcerns are growing over the intensifying risk of a full scale bank run in China, with mass protests held outside bank branches in China’s Henan Province throughout this weekend (July 9 & 10). Asia Markets has verified video and images shared across Chinese social media platforms, including Weibo and WeChat, showing violent clashes between police and depositors who have been unable to withdraw funds. www.asiamarkets.com/china-bank-run-fears-intensify/Chinese Bank Run Turns Violent After Angry Crowd Storms Bank of China Branch Over Frozen Depositswww.zerohedge.com/markets/chinese-bank-run-turns-violent-after-angry-crowd-storms-bank-china-branch-over-frozen

There's talk that Saudi Arabia is running out of reserves and that may be the reason behind why they are buying oil from Russia. I see it differently. Saudi Arabia will import Russian oil and then export it with little to no effort on their part. They will apply a huge mark up when they on sell to the west. The west will be able to claim they are buying Saudi oil thus getting around the sanctions. Saudi Arabia will make a huge profit from this. It's that simple. Win Win Win.
